FLOURS-

 

BUCKWHEAT- Despite the name, buckwheat is not related to wheat, as it is not a grass. Instead, buckwheat is related to sorrel, knotweed, and rhubarb. Because its seeds are eaten and rich in complex carbohydrates, it is referred to as a pseudocereal.Buckwheat is a very good source of manganese and a good source of copper, magnesium, ,dietary fiber, and phosphorus. Buckwheat contains two flavonoids with significant health-promoting actions: rutin and quercitin. The protein in buckwheat is a high quality protein, containing all eight essential amino acids, including lysine.

 

COCONUT- Coconuts contain the beneficial fatty acid Lauric acid, which boosts the immune system response. Coconut products have been known to improve digestion, thyroid function, metabolic mechanisms, and provide protection and defense against viral, pathogenic, fungal, and bacterial infections.

 

POTATO- A type of flour produced from cooked, dried, and ground potatoes. It is used as an ingredient in potato based recipes to enhance the potato flavor

 

TAPIOCA- A beadlike starch obtained from cassava root, used in cooking as a thickening agent.

 

ALMOND- offers a good amount of manganese and vitamin E, a healthy serving of monounsaturated fats and protein, and is low in carbohydrates and gluten free.

 

QUINOA
Quinoa (pronounced key-no-wa) is a species of goosefoot (Chenopodium) grown primarily for its edible seeds. It is highly appreciated for its nutritional value, as it is one of the few plants that provide extremely high and complete amino acid content. It is also a good source of dietary fiber and phosphorus and is high in magnesium and iron. Quinoa is gluten free and considered easy to digest.

Treats that are iced with colored vanilla yogurt coatings  are  tinted with vegetable food colorings .*Sometimes "all natural" is not possible with some of our treats decorated with sprinkle adornments. The decorations and colorings we use are U.S. Certified Food Colors that are FDA approved food colorings for human consumption and may contain .01 percent of Sodium Benzoate or Citric Acid.
